The Journal of the American Medical Association reported in 1999:
“By 2020 modalities deemed alternative medicine will be superseded by the term integrative medicine, and will be mainstream”.
“Crossing the Quality Chasm”, a report by the Institute of Medicine-2001, claims
“The whole Healthcare System is failing because we continue to apply acute care solutions, that is, surgery and pharmaceutical drugs to chronic problems that would be best approached by changing our life styles and particularly our diets”.

Because of Young Livings’ huge success, Gary Young has become another one of Barrett’s Quackwatch targets.
Quackwatch Exposed
For years, chiropractors were attacked by the American Medical Association. In 1976, following a lengthy court battle, a Federal judge ordered the AMA to shut down its covert operation and to leave Chiropractors alone. Following that court decision, the AMA shut down its covert operation, and the files, etc., are alleged to have ended up in Steven Barrett’s Allentown home. Eventually, Quackwatch - a name synonymous with Barrett, became an internet presence. Today, Quackwatch is a major opponent against anything holistic. “Racketeering in medicine”, an authoritive book by James Carter, M.D. explains the conspiracy in detail.
